Latest updates on ‘Imam Jafar al-Sadiq’ series

The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) has announced plans to produce a historical series on Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (AS).

Mohsen Barmahani, Deputy Head of IRIB, revealed that the project is part of an ambitious effort to create major historical dramas requiring substantial budgets.

Barmahani emphasized that these high-caliber productions, classified as "A-List" projects, take years to develop due to their complexity and cost.

He highlighted that despite financial constraints, the head of IRIB, Peyman Jebeli, is determined to bring these monumental stories to life.

The series, currently in the writing stage, will depict the life of Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (AS), a prominent Islamic figure and the founder of the Jafari School of jurisprudence.

Renowned for fostering a scientific and philosophical renaissance, the Imam’s era marked a significant transitional period between the Umayyad and Abbasid dynasties, shaping Islamic thought for generations.
